Mrs. Moore
2nd Grade Teacher

My name is Griselda Moore and welcome to my site.
I am a sophomore at Trinity Christian Collage studying to be a Special Education Teacher. My expected graduation is the fall of 2018. I believe I was born to teacher. For the last seven years I have worked as a Youth Prevention and Development Coordinator working in School Districts 170 and 206 teaching substance abuse prevention and teen pregnancy evidence-based prevention curriculums.
Prior to my time at Aunt Martha’s I was a Sunday School Teacher for nearly 10 years. My goals are to become an elementary school teacher and get my students to love learning.
My area of concentration will be Health, Science or Language Arts at the middle school grade levels. I really enjoy conducting experiments and growing my own foods. I look forward to starting my career in a school district where I can use my strong communication skills and creativity to make a positive impact within the community. I am interested in your school district because the teachers value the work that they do; the students want to learn; and administration is supportive of both groups.
Mission Statement
To become a trusted adult in the life of a child that would be built on mutual respect.

It is my goal in life to work with our youth. I am motivated by the thought of shaping young minds to want to become life-learners. To get someone to know and believe that they could do and become whatever they want is amazing. I have always want to work with the youth and what better way than to teach!

My style of teaching is Constructivist Theory. Constructivist teaching is based on the belief that learning occurs as learners are actively involved in a process of meaning and knowledge construction as opposed to passively receiving information. Learners are the makers of meaning and knowledge. My philosophy allows for the student to be active participants in the classroom. The role of the teacher takes the form of a facilitator and the lesson becomes more student-centered.

My teaching strategies include all of the best practices that will allow any student to feel safe and included no matter their race, gender or religion. I would follow all of the state standards and be the best trusted adult in the life of a child.

I am a Constructivism Theorist Teacher and My Students will sit in the classroom in a U-shape design. The U-shape layout is more effective. The students can make eye-contact with each other Read more: Physical Layout http://www.learningandteaching.info/teaching/layout.htm#ixzz49h9QLcvB
